Zuidas Amsterdam welcomes Arcadis and Brit Insurance
Engineering firm Arcadis have announced that the firm has decided to move its headquarters to the Zuidas in Amsterdam. The new office offers workspaces for about 40 employees. Arcadis said that it plans to move into the new office in September 2010. The company considered moving to the Amsterdam Area because of the state of the art business locations the region has to offer.Chairman of the executive board Harry Noy comments on the decision: "The relocation of our international headquarters reflects the transformation of Arcadis as a global professional service provider. The new headquarters will function as a international meeting point".
Furthermore, Brit Insurance completed its corporate restructure by putting a new holding company in place. The location for the new holding company is Amsterdam. Brit Insurances’ board believes that the new Dutch holding should provide the company with a stable commercial, legal, regulatory and fiscal environment in which to operate. The choice to select Amsterdam as a location for its new holding company illustrates the attractiveness of Amsterdam as a financial centre.
