Multilingual
Success in Europe depends on employees who know their languages. The Dutch workforce is highly multilingual. Most Dutch are fluent in English, the primary business language in the Netherlands and throughout Europe. Furthermore, more than half speak German fluently, and a quarter French. In addition, the literacy rate in the Netherlands is unusually high, about 99%.

Skilled, creative and flexible
Dutch workers are plentiful, highly efficient and possess a strong work ethic. Their available skills cover a wide range of capabilities from entry level to senior executive. These include general business administration, accounting and financial services, customer support, marketing, distribution, IT, and more. One of every ten works for a foreign employer. The Dutch are also flexible and accustomed to temporary contracts, whether long or short-term.

Education
The Dutch educational system ranks high in meeting the needs of a competitive economy. The Netherlands' Institutes of Higher Professional Education, Universities and secondary education institutions graduate a steady stream of quality candidates with the skills and attitudes your business demands. Unlike some other European countries, the Dutch emphasize practicality and business skills in their system of higher education - there are approximately 85 Institutes of Higher Professional Education as opposed to 10 strictly academic universities. Enjoying higher employment rates than the national average, the Amsterdam Area's workforce is flexible and highly educated.
